Early Years in Islington

Through our early years outreach projects, delivered in partnership with Bright Start, we work with particularly vulnerable and hard-to-reach families, supporting parents with children under 5 years old.

LSO musicians and workshop leader Vanessa King take music to children’s centres and nurseries in fun, interactive sessions. Music is used as a tool to strengthen relationships between children and their parents or carers, and sessions are designed to equip adults with the tools and confidence to use music themselves in at home. Engaging children in music from a very young age can help them to build in confidence and express themselves.
